39 weeks and induction

This will be our last pre-baby post... my doctor scheduled me to be induced tomorrow, Tuesday, @ 4am. I'm still hoping that maybe I'll naturally go into labor on my own today but it's more likely that I'll be induced in the morning. The reason that my doctor wants to induce me is that our little guy is measuring a bit on the small side and they think it would be better to get our baby out sooner rather than later. Everything else appears normal and right. We would greatly appreciate your prayers for us today and tomorrow. I feel kind of "beyond" emotions - that I am trying to get through these days and simply don't have much extra capacity to feel everything or process much more than I already have. Please pray for our little guy's safe arrival - that he would be healthy and big enough. Pray for the induction - that it would all go smoothly and without complications. Thanks!

Oh Kristen...my heart goes out to you. i have eagerly been awaiting this post. i check it every day. i definatly will be praying for you and your little man, and brandon.

"Lord, you are in control of this situation, you know the plans you have for this family and this little guy, and you love children more than we could ever know. Please, give Kristen peace about tomorrow, help her to just relax in your loving arms and to trust you with it all. Keep her little guy safe and healthy and strong! and protect Kristen through the process, too. Give them courage and I ask that you fill them with joy beyond measure, dispite all their sorrow. Bless this family with another baby that they can raise and love and enjoy for years and years. Guide the Doctors and nurses and help them feel your presnce. Thank you God for this baby; He truly is a Gift and a Blessing. And thank you that we can trust You with him. Amen.

Praying for you even now, friend. So many hopes and petitions come before the Lord tonight on your and Brandon's and your son's behalf. I am trusting that he will turn his ear to our cries for mercy... and healing.

Wow, I can't wait to see what he looks like.

Oh Kristen, I've been thinking so much about you since I heard you were being induced, even now. I read Isaiah 26:3 this morning and I prayed that for you: You will keep in perfect peace him whose eyes are fixed on you. And in the message: People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole.

I'm SO eager for this part to be over and you to be holding your son until he's too old to be held.

love you,
Cheri

Can't wait to see pictures of your beautiful son!

I guess I checked to early in the day yesterday, it's Tuesday and you're probably well into labor. But I'll be praying for you whenever I have a chance today. Keep us posted as much as you can!
