Any Advice?

What an awesome privilege it is to be entrusted with a little baby girl. Kristin and I are so excited to be parents. I am sure that there will be good times, bad times, hard times, and fun times. At this point we are still trucking along in our well ordered lives and I have a feeling that our lives will look much much much different in about 4 months. If any parents out there have any advice that they would like to leave here as "comments" we would love to read it.

Not sure where else to leave this comment, so I'm doing it here.
I can't believe you guys are having a little girl. Just think, now you won't have to be like the Dipsmell clan and have 3 boys before you get to the girl. I'm sure she is going to be super-cute. I just hope she doesn't get B's afro and copius amounts of chest hair.

Happy Valentine's Day Crouch family! I have to get a word in if corey did :) I love this site and seeing your baby's progress! Kristen, you look great...hot momma! Still no baby advice...but we're always up for babysitting!

Advice, huh? That's a pretty broad question at this point. And it looks like nobody dares to jump in and give you an answer. ;-) But I can't leave you with 'nothing'! So here goes:

1. Breastfeed if you can (for Kristin, of course).
2. (For K again) Be a stay-at-home mom... don't let some daycare raise your precious daughter and get to see many of her 'firsts' before you do.
3. (For Brandon) Help Kristin as much as possible.
4. (For B again) Spend as much time with your daughter as possible. Bonding with Daddy is soooo important! (This lasts for at least 18 years.)
5. (For both) Stock up on sleep now, 'cause once she arrives, you won't see a good night's sleep again in a loooong time! ;-)
6. (For both) Next time you need advice, ask for something more specific. ;-)

Hope this helps,
Grandmum now

P.S. (One more for Brandon) Daddies CAN do diapers.... learn how ASAP! ;-)

Hi Brandon and Kristin!! I love that you have this blog for us to share your pregnancy and keep informed. As for advice...I completely echo Candy. As for some things we have learned with Elijah...
1. Find the video of "The Happiest Baby on the Block" The techniques he used really work and it saved us from having a cryer. Johnny was a pro!
2. Staying at home and having a parent here has been worth every sacrifice we have had to make.
3. Start learning sign language so that you can teach your little girl to communicate early. Elijah already has about 60 signs under his belt and is talking a lot. The best part is we actually understand him. I am amazed at how smart kids are if we give them the tools.

Well, if I think of more, I will let you know. I am excited about you guys coming back to CA. Look forward to seeing you again soon!
